All of us have these types of minds. We should learn to maintain balance in between these minds. Milk, fruits, dry fruits are offered to god; therefore the same food if we eat promotes satwa in our body. Fasting on the pournami is important as it brings more vibrations in the nature and the mind is difficult to be controlled.

"As per the puranas it is believed that by performing the karthka Masam vratham we can drove away the past karmas and the sins committed can be destroyed."
I would like to know how

Sri, when you are on fasting never sleep.
By abstaining from sleep during the fast day, you will become one that is always wakeful

"As per the puranas it is believed that by performing the karthka Masam vratham we can drove away the past karmas and the sins committed can be destroyed."

Inner meaning: if you perform good deeds in karthika masam such as donating clothes, food, money etc to people who are in need will reduce your sins and attain freedom.

Unfortunatley i had sex today.daily i m putting deepam in temple.its nt happend wantedly.i m scared.plz tel me wht to do

Anonymous said...

How? That's what I want to know.
eg if I am a murderer, how will these good deeds reduce it?
So is it ok to do what ever we want and keep special months to reduce its karma?

Pradeep Chandra said...

Its simple...

4 murders - 2 kartheek vrathams before death = 2 evil karma ( will go to hell )
4 murders - 8 kartheek vrathams before death = 4 good karma ( will go to heavaen)...

But this is a cylcle which never ends and we should come out of this and that is called as moksha/liberation which can be only given by Supreme GOD Krishna/Vishnu..

"Sri Krishna said: Even if you are considered to be the most sinful of all sinners, when you are situated in the boat of transcendental knowledge you will be able to cross over the ocean of miseries."

'Even if the vilest sinner worships Me with full devotion, he should be considered a noble soul or saint; as he has taken the right step by worshipping me.'

'He speedily becomes virtuous and secures lasting peace. O son of Kunti, know it for certain that My devotee never falls.

That's ridiculous, where's the justice for the murdered soul?? If I keep on murdering people and keep full devotion n karthika vretham, I can go to heaven?? TThat's totally injustice!!

All things are based on our past karma..even if you do bad things in this birth you can enjoy good life.
